Amazing Health and Beauty Benefits of Coconut Oil

Amazing Health & Beauty Benefits of Coconut Oil - A Bella Adventure
Coconut oil is a natural, multi-purpose health and beauty product worth including in your beauty routine. It has wonderful moisturising, protective and antioxidant qualities that are very effective when used on the skin and hair. This multi-tasking plant wonder oil is carefully extracted from the flesh of the coconut. It is packed with vitamins and minerals known to improve skin hydration.

Coconut oil has been used throughout Asia and the Pacific for thousands of years as a food and a medicine. Tropical communities have also used it as an anti-wrinkle treatment for centuries. It is ideal for cooking as it has a high smoke point and deliciously creamy flavour. Consumed internally, it has been shown to improve digestion, strengthen the immune system, and protect against bacterial, viral and fungal infections.

BotanicES have included coconut oil in their skin loving BotanicES Face Creme, BotanicES Eye Creme & BotanicES Body Creme to leave the skin super soft and hydrated.

Natural Moisturiser
Coconut oil absorbs quickly so is particularly good for moisturising and conditioning dry skin or chapped lips. It is a great natural skin moisturiser as it helps to prevent premature ageing and keeps skin soft and smooth by penetrating deep into the skin. It will leave your skin with a dewy glow and a beautiful tropical coconut fragrance.

Natural Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover
The moisturising and antibacterial properties of coconut oil make it the perfect facial cleanser and makeup remover. It also does a great job of removing eye makeup. Gently massage the oil into your face and neck in a circular motion. This will help your skin to absorb the nourishing properties of this skin loving oil. Rinse with warm water and a face cloth.

Natural Skin Repair and Healing
Due to its natural antibacterial, antifungal and healing properties, coconut oil is beneficial when applied to blemishes and wounds. It helps to repair the skin and speed wound healing, while essential fatty acids hydrate and nourish.

Simply combine coconut oil with a coarsely ground sea salt or raw sugar to create a skin loving exfoliating body scrub.

  • Although I always associate coconut oil with summer thanks to my youth and sunbaking covered in the stuff before I knew any better, coconut oil sounds like a perfect hydrating winter ingredient!

  • I’ve tried coconut in every way I can – moisturiser, cleanser, hair treatment but no matter how I use it or remove it, it always blocks my pores and causes a break out. I bought the best products too so I think my skin just hates it :(

    • Thanks for stopping by and commenting! That’s a shame that coconut oil doesn’t work for you. Lucky for me my skin loves it and it has so many great uses.
